While I find the height of the tank to be somewhat unat- tractive, it has posed no problems with respect to handling. I have subsequently removed the upholstery from the pil- lion seat, which allows me to use the space under the tank to store my tools, first aid kit,and tire repair kit.Everything is tucked into a dry bag.The tank is . gallons which, when coupled with the . gallon stock tank, puts me just under the . gallon IBR requirement. One look at the Triumph Trophy SE told me that I either had to be more careful or invest in some crash bars. I opted for both. Since the Trophy was a brand new model, my only option at the time was from R&G Adventure. With an MSRP of $. they are not inexpensive, but I figured they would pay for themselves on my as-yet-to-occur first tip over. They also give me options for mounting lights and road pegs without drilling the stock plastic. However, I found that the day- time visibility of the headlight is virtually nil. My son rode the TT SE back from Los Angeles and several times I wondered if the lights were on. Some type of daytime running lights were definitely needed. The problem with the Trophy was where to mount the lights. Although I had the R&G bars, I felt that mounting lights on it brought forth two problems. If I mounted them low enough to be protected by the bars, they were too low. If I mounted them high enough to be useful, they would be ruined in a tip over. I finally discovered that the housing below the mirrors was securely mounted and sturdy enough to support an auxiliary light. There are two holes drilled in the plastic to hold the mounting bracket. Since these are tucked up under the mirror, I didn’t think they would be noticeable if the lights are removed. I opted to purchase a set of dimmable Cyclops Adventure Sports Optimus LED Prime Lights. Since you can mix and match, I chose a  degree lamp for the left side and a  degree lamp for the right. I used a dimmer from Skene Design. For years I’ve had a headlight modulator that had three modes (on, off, and alert). The alert was a nice feature that would modulate the headlight for three seconds. I love it since folks can see things much further than they can hear, but I found that a set of Skene Photon Blasters offered good enhancement to daytime visibility and installed those instead. I had a system that worked perfectly, but I chose to toss it away to try something new. I had a powered hydration system on the LT, but didn’t want to go to the trouble of building another powered system. I opted to try out a GEIGERRIG Hydration Engine, which is a regular hydration pack with the ability to be pressurized with a pump up TRIUMPH TROPHY SE Farkling
